Leidos is looking for a Sr Field Engineer with a TS/SCI with polygraph to support work on an information technology (IT) contract. The contract supports leading the engineering, delivery, sustainment, and evolution of the client’s broader Information Technology (IT) in support of its mission. The client’s office leadership provides management and leadership for a wide spectrum of activities. Office lines of business include Collaboration Services, Endpoint & Security Services, Infrastructure Engineering and Hosting, Mission Unique Services, and Business Management. The Field Engineer will deploy, install, and maintain servers, routers, edge switches, telecommunications systems, UPS systems, and desktop PC hardware in support of customer operations. This is a fast-paced program that requires someone who works well in a dynamic environment. The Field Engineer is responsible for procedural input to the planning, preparation, and execution of all projects. Responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of less experienced staff. Must have the ability to complete complex assignments without direction and direct those engineers that are more junior. Additional Field Engineer duties shall include but are not limited to the following: The work will vary based on site specific requirements, but shall include, as applicable, the following types of activities: Perform the physical setup and configuration of desktop hardware and software to include external peripherals that may be required. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Install applicable equipment (with racks if needed) Perform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers Install and connect applicable cables Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment Troubleshoot desktop and network anomalies and contact the appropriate groups for additional support. Serve as technical liaison between the site and the appropriate technical business areas for resolution of IT issues and system upgrades. Build workstations per established procedures. Maintain operational status of all phone systems. After hours response/resolution for technical issues
