About The Position

Boston Scientific was recognized as a Glassdoor, Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day. Our Active Implantable Systems (AIS) R&D organization at Boston Scientific is seeking a visionary and deeply technical Senior Fellow AI Architect to lead the transformation of research and development through the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across our product development lifecycle. This role will shape how AI-enabled tools, platforms and workflows are used across R&D to improve engineering productivity, accelerate innovation, enhance product quality and strengthen organizational capabilities. As a senior technical leader in product development, this individual will define the AIS R&D AI architecture strategy, evaluate and guide the deployment of emerging AI technologies, partner with internal engineering teams, and collaborate with external AI vendors to tailor solutions for regulated product development environments. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic influence, organizational leadership and a passion for transforming how engineers work across multiple R&D disciplines. This Senior Fellow-level role operates with significant autonomy and enterprise-wide influence, partnering with senior R&D leadership, IT, Quality, Regulatory and external technology partners to define the future of AI-enabled innovation within AIS R&D. The individual will serve as both a strategic architect and hands-on technical leader, driving significant and measurable transformation initially across AIS R&D, with the potential to expand solutions and capabilities to other divisions across Boston Scientific.
