About The Position

The Senior Federal Program Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Si-Si A-Pe-Txa’s accounting functions related to federal grants and contracts, and/or tribal programs. This position prepares reports, reconciles accounts, prepares financial statements, and works with Directors on their budgets. This position works closely on grant accounting management.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • 3 or more years of healthcare accounting experience
  • 3 or more years of grant accounting experience
  • 3 or more years of healthcare in month end closing, balance sheet reconciliation, accounting experience
  • Tribal Finance and Accounting Certification
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Familiarity with Federal Grant Reporting
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Requires good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles
