About The Position

KBR is seeking a hands-on Facilities Operations Manager to manage day-to-day operations across multiple sites in the Mountain Region, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional who values accountability, service, and operational excellence. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. The Facility Operations Manager oversees facility and office services, vendor performance, budgets, and supports projects that ensure KBR workplaces remain safe, efficient, and fully mission ready. This position partners with internal stakeholders and peer facility leaders to deliver results aligned with company priorities. This is a full-time, on-site role at KBR’s Newport facility in Colorado Springs, with additional support responsibilities across the regional locations.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities in the Colorado Springs area.
  • 8+ years in facilities, ideally in complex or multi-site environments.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and build trust across teams.
  • Excellent organization, planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay calm, effective, and professional under pressure.
  • Ability to take direction from all levels of management and build respectful working relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Costpoint or similar enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal teams, building management, engineers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Coordinates HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, and other maintenance services, including landlord requests and external vendors work.
  • Conducts routine inspections (walkthroughs), identifies issues early, and performs light repairs when appropriate.
  • Manages inspection and upkeep of office equipment and safety-related items.
  • Responds promptly to facility-related employee requests and resolves issues promptly.
  • Maintains floor plans and manages quarterly occupancy reporting.
  • Sources, evaluates and oversees vendors for maintenance, repairs, construction, and supplies, ensuring quality, cost control and timely delivery.
  • Retrieves, reviews, codes, and reconciles monthly facility invoices.
  • Ensures and maintains a safe, clean, and functional environment for employees and subcontractors.
  • Partners with landlords and engineers to support sustainability initiatives and reporting.
  • Orders and maintains office and kitchen supplies and reconciles Purchase Card transactions on time.
  • Stocks and maintains snack offerings within allotted snack budget.
  • Assists with planning and supporting on-site events, meetings, and activities.
  • Maintains local emergency response plans and supports workplace preparedness.
  • Coordinates major facility-related expenditures with facilities and real estate leadership.
  • Serves as the primary escort for vendors, maintenance teams, construction crews, and visitors performing facility work.
  • Provides operational support within the Mountain Region as needed.
