About The Position

The Senior Facility and Safety Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective maintenance and calibrations on production equipment and installations in the clean rooms and laboratories. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety and compliance of technical systems within Kuros Biosciences.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or Technical Degree/Certificate in electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems or related field required
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar position within a regulated environment such as GMP, ISO such as healthcare, life sciences, medical device or pharma industry
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs
  • Strong technical or mechanical mindset with proven problem-solving skills
  • Experience with technical drawings and maintenance software
  • Experience with asset management and recordkeeping
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Strong mechanical and electrical understanding and familiarity
  • Skilled in communication, can report and discuss findings clearly.
  • Team player, works well with colleagues from production, Quality and Engineering
  • Experience with ERP and Master Data – experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, is an advantage.
  • Accurate and quality-conscious, works according to procedures and documents carefully.
  • Safety conscious – acts according to safety regulations and contributes to a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventive maintenance according to maintenance plans and guidelines to include performance checks, calibrations, and routine work
  • Assisting maintenance companies for the execution and delivery of external maintenance and calibration activities
  • Solicit and review MSA from Equipment Vendors and Servicers to present to Facility and Safety Manager
  • Carrying out inspections based on a maintenance schedule
  • Testing the operation and delivery of new equipment or installation along with Process Development Engineers
  • Support annual maintenance of production facilities.
  • First-line fault investigation, independent troubleshooting in the short term and developing structural solutions in the long term.
  • Safely perform operations in accordance with regulations and Kuros Culture and Values.
  • Reporting deviations, risks and upcoming maintenance plan in Daily Huddle with Production team members
  • Consulting with team lead production, (senior) operators, QA technicians and engineers regarding technical improvements to equipment.
  • Giving instructions to users regarding more sustainable use and orientating new hires to site and production safety requirements
  • Assist in issuance and documentation of Equipment AP numbers and upkeep of individual equipment booklets as required for internal and external audits.
