About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Facilities Service Technician to support our commercial portfolio. This is a field-based role requiring a technician who can operate independently, troubleshoot effectively, and execute high-quality work across multiple trades. This position is intended for a senior-level technician who can step in with minimal direction, take ownership of projects and service calls, and serve as a reliable go-to resource in the field.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in commercial facilities maintenance or construction, with demonstrated senior-level field experience
  • Strong multi-trade skillset (not entry-level)
  • Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize workload in a mobile environment
  • Comfortable using smartphones/tablets for work orders and communication
  • Reliable, accountable, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Must have own hand and power tools
  • Operates with minimal oversight and delivers consistent, high-quality results
  • Takes ownership of assigned work from start to finish
  • Serves as a dependable, go-to technician in the field
  • Helps reinforce best practices through execution and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • EPA 608 Certification (for HVAC refrigerant handling)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (construction or general industry)
  • HVAC Certification (trade school or manufacturer-based)
  • Electrical Certification (state or trade program – low voltage or general)
  • Plumbing Certification (journeyman-level or equivalent experience)
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT)
  • Building Maintenance Certification (BMC) or equivalent
  • Forklift / Aerial Lift Certification (scissor lift, boom lift)
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Certification
  • Confined Space Certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and service work across multiple commercial sites
  • Respond to service calls, work orders, and occasional emergency requests
  • Execute work across multiple trades, including: Carpentry, Drywall & painting, Doors, frames, and hardware, Flooring repairs, Laminate repair and replacement, Light electrical, Minor HVAC troubleshooting, Minor roof repairs and patching
  • Independently diagnose issues and determine the most efficient path to resolution
  • Complete multi-day and complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Accurately document work, notes, and updates using mobile work order systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed
