About The Position

Diagnoses issues in the built environment and develops repair and restoration solutions for building and infrastructure components and systems. Projects may include property condition assessments and detailed evaluations of structural systems, roofs, facades, plaza deck and below-grade waterproofing systems, MEP systems, pavements, industrial floors, and construction materials. Assessment methods include visual examination, non-destructive testing, instrumentation and load testing, laboratory testing, and destructive examinations. Client deliverables range from findings and recommendations reports to restoration design documents and construction oversight or administration.

The Senior Facilities Professional provides technical direction for routine, unique, and complex projects. The role may conceptualize the initial design or investigative approach for a major phase of a large project or take overall responsibility for Facilities work on a moderately scoped project. It also contributes to business development, provides leadership and training to staff, and supports project safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in building science or a related building field and at least 10 years of experience in facility assessment, or at least 14 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
• Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) certification.
• Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) certification.
• At least one other relevant certification, such as RBEC, BECxP, or LEED AP.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for the production and completion of routine, unique, and complex projects.
• Conceptualize the initial design or investigative approach for a major phase of a large project, or take overall responsibility for Facilities work on a moderately scoped project.
• Participate in developing marketing strategies and making formal presentations of qualifications to clients.
• Identify potential clients who may need consulting expertise and participate in selling company services to them.
• Provide leadership, technical direction, expertise, and training to staff while working on client projects.
• Participate actively in local and regional technical and business organizations.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards on all projects; participate in pre-task planning and report safety issues or concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
