About The Position

A Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of both the facility's infrastructure and its manufacturing equipment. This role ensures that HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems run safely and efficiently, while also performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on advanced production machinery (including CNC machinery, welding equipment, and material handling/painting systems). The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional capable of driving continuous improvements, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and coordinating with external contractors. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or lead within a team environment are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or facilities maintenance role.
  • Proven experience in industrial equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair low voltage (12v DC) to high voltage (480v AC 3-Phase) electrical systems, and perform new electrical installations for industrial machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely operate shop equipment, hand/power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and industrial machines.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) and CMMS platforms for record-keeping and machine troubleshooting.
  • Fluent in English with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical ability and the capacity to visually and mentally make priority decisions and independent judgment calls based on the situation at hand.
  • Self-driven, willing to learn and perform with minimal direction, and capable of driving organizational change.

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks including carpentry, lighting repairs, small plumbing fixes, sheetrock, and painting for office make-ready.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs manufacturing and fabrication equipment, including CNC Laser Cutting, CNC Turret Punch Press, Robotic Welding, Automated Material Handling, and Automated Powder Coat Painting equipment.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and replaces control devices, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic systems, and electrical circuits.
  • Reads and interprets assembly drawings, electrical and mechanical schematics, and equipment layouts to source parts and execute repairs.
  • Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to look up parts, track work orders, and maintain precise repair records.
  • Adheres strictly to all plant safety, environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures while working around traffic, heights, electricity, and heavy machinery.
  • Assists crew members, works cross-functionally with other job groups, and helps mentor or assist other maintenance technicians.
