About The Position

Conducts facility condition assessments for all 1,100 buildings owned by the university located on the Columbus and eight (8) Regional campuses. During assessments, the Facility Assessor will travel to the location of the building; create relationships with the building manager (s); conduct interviews with building management and staff on the condition of the building, and its systems; analyze and score the condition of building systems and structures; capture deficiencies and create reports on findings. This position will perform planning and scheduling activities related to assessment work; other duties as assigned. This position works in a multi-discipline working group, assessments are conducted individually and in teams, peer review of draft reports are conducted in working groups. This position will work closely with university partners responsible for various horizontal infrastructure systems. In accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17, this position has been designated as a standby position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required.
