About The Position

STAR designs, produces, and executes custom brand experiences, including trade show exhibits, retail experiences, branded interiors, and events. The STAR Creative group is hiring a full-time, exempt Senior Experiential Designer to create immersive, engaging brand experiences that captivate audiences, leave lasting impressions, and meet client objectives. The role involves developing concepts and visual presentations, coordinating with internal teams and freelance resources, creating design specifications, researching project context and sourcing materials, and supporting client relationships and business development. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, attentive to detail, effective at managing tasks and timelines, and committed to exceeding client expectations. The position is based in an engaging, collaborative work environment. Work beyond 40 hours per week may be required when workload demands it.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Experiential, Environmental, Industrial, or a related Design field.
Proficiency with 3D software such as SketchUp, FormZ, or 3DS Max.
Proficiency with 2D software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to work beyond 40 hours per week when workload requires it.
Strong collaboration, organization, and time-management skills; attention to detail; and the ability to manage assigned tasks and timelines.

Nice To Haves

Successful work experience in events, trade shows, retail, interiors, or a related design field is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Generate innovative, engaging, and functional design concepts aligned with client objectives, budget, and target audience, independently, collaboratively, or under direction.
Develop renderings, visuals, and presentation materials to communicate concepts to internal and external customers.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and other departments to coordinate delivery of a seamless customer experience and outstanding product.
Direct team members or freelance resources as needed to complete assigned work.
Create detailed design specifications for estimating and production.
Research clients’ brands, products, audiences, competitors, and other project context.
Research and source props, materials, objects, promotional materials, and stock photography.
Participate in or lead client meetings, pitches, and presentations to showcase the agency’s capabilities and build client trust and rapport.
Conduct project-level discovery independently or under the guidance of a Creative Director.
Understand client needs, translate them into creative solutions, and present those solutions effectively, connecting goals with proposed strategies, tactics, and intended outcomes.
Seek opportunities to develop relationships with project stakeholders.
