About The Position

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking an experienced, community-minded leader to guide the Green Hills and Northwest YMCAs. As the Senior Executive Director, you will be responsible for creating welcoming center experiences, supporting strong teams, building community partnerships, and ensuring smooth operations across programs, facilities, fundraising, budgets, and member service.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 21
• Four-year college degree in a related field.
• At least four years of experience in an executive director-level YMCA position.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to inspire teams and create a culture of service for members and staff.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Required certifications/training include CPR Pro with AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, New Hire Orientation, Child Abuse Detection/Prevention, BBP, and Adult Mental Health First Aid within required timelines.

Nice To Haves

• YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of multiple YMCA centers while balancing staff development, program quality, facility upkeep, safety, and fiscal responsibility.
• Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, businesses, volunteers, members, and staff.
• Support fundraising, membership growth, program enrollment, and annual giving efforts.
• Develop, manage, and monitor operating budgets to meet or exceed goals.
• Recruit, motivate, train, evaluate, and support staff and volunteers.
• Ensure excellent member service, safe operations, and compliance with Association policies.
