About The Position

Bring your passion and leadership to Chartwells! As a Senior Executive Chef, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals while leading culinary operations across a dynamic campus environment. In this role, you will drive excellence in food quality, innovation, and operational performance—ensuring all culinary offerings are on-trend, efficient, safe, and executed to the highest standards. You’ll oversee menu development, inventory and purchasing, food cost controls, and the hiring, training, and development of culinary team members.

Requirements

3–5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
Proven experience planning and managing catering events
Strong leadership presence with a passion for developing teams
Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production, sanitation, and cost controls
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and web-based tools
Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
ServSafe® Certification required

Nice To Haves

Culinary degree preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Food Services Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Set and maintain high culinary standards across retail dining, board meals, and catering operations
Lead, train, and inspire the local culinary team to deliver exceptional results
Champion Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, including sustainability, seasonality, and health & wellness programs
Analyze operational performance and trends, implementing strategies for continuous improvement
Ensure a deep understanding of daily menu offerings and confidently communicate details to customers and stakeholders
