About The Position

At Palo Alto Networks, we are shaping the future of cybersecurity. We are looking for a Senior Executive Assistant to provide strategic, high-level support to our SVP, Global Digital Marketing, and VP, Global Communications. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of brand reputation and digital transformation. You aren’t just an assistant; you are a key operational partner. You will balance complex global logistics with a leadership role within our EA community. We are looking for a tech-forward professional who is passionate about AI, thrives in a "Mission First" environment, and can help us build a world-class Marketing EA program. This is an in office role in our HQ, Santa Clara, CA 4-5 days/week

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of administrative experience, with 5+ years supporting senior executives (SVP/VP level) in a global, fast-paced technology environment.
  • Cybersecurity & Marketing IQ: Direct experience in Cybersecurity (ideally at PANW or a peer) and Marketing/Communications is a significant advantage.
  • AI Enthusiast: You don't just use tech; you love it. You have a genuine curiosity for Artificial Intelligence and are eager to apply it to make the executive office more efficient.
  • Program Builder: Proven ability to mentor others and a desire to contribute to the "Palo Alto Networks Way" by building community and culture within the administrative function.
  • Expertise: Mastery of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and enterprise collaboration tools like Slack and Zoom.
  • The "PANW" Mindset: You are agile, resilient under pressure, and possess the sound judgment needed to navigate the ambiguity of a rapidly growing global leader.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Operational Support
  • Anticipate Executive Needs: Proactively manage schedules and priorities to ensure the SVP and VP are focused on PANW’s highest-impact initiatives, including major launches like Ignite and Unit 42 briefings.
  • Business Rhythm: Lead the coordination of staff meetings, all-hands, and global off-sites—driving agenda design, tracking action items, and ensuring team alignment.
  • AI Integration: Serve as an early adopter of AI tools. You will actively explore and implement generative AI and automation to streamline workflows, manage meeting synthesis, and improve team productivity.
  • Community Leadership & Mentorship
  • Marketing EA Program: Partner closely with the Lead Marketing EA to design and evolve a formal Marketing EA mentorship program. Your goal is to foster professional growth and operational consistency across the department.
  • Collaboration: Act as a central hub for the Marketing and Communications EA team, building a "rising tide" culture where best practices are shared and silos are broken.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Build strong partnerships with EAs in Sales, Product, and the Office of the CEO to facilitate seamless execution across the matrix.
  • Executive Partnership
  • Voice of Leadership: Act as a professional extension of the SVP and VP—representing their priorities and maintaining a high standard of diplomacy with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High-Stakes Discretion: Handle extremely sensitive information—including crisis communications, pre-release product roadmaps, and financial data—with the utmost confidentiality.
