About The Position

SANCORP is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to assist Office Management and Executive Support Services (OM&ESS) in supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD(P)), focused on delivering high-quality administrative support across strategy, international engagement, and interagency coordination. This role requires a high degree of critical thinking, initiative, problem-solving, and professional judgment. The position is on-site in the National Capital Region and requires a U.S. Citizen with an active TS with SCI eligibility security clearance. A drug screening is also required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, ten (10) years of demonstrated experience and skills in providing Executive Level support to Senior Executives in the Federal Government, Military (DoD Flag / General Officers), or Private Sector, to include but not limited to scheduling and travel, may be substituted.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience and skills in providing Executive Level support to Senior Executives in the Federal Government, Military (DoD Flag / General Officers), or Private Sector, to include but not limited to scheduling and travel.
  • Demonstrated experience providing timely and high-quality support to Executive-level Principals in a complex and fast-paced environment requiring a high-degree of critical thinking, initiative, problem solving, and professional judgment across an organizational setting (i.e., not siloed to one or two specific tasks).
  • Demonstrate proficiency and experience with Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Demonstrate high proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Active TS with SCI eligibility security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling for Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and above, or their equivalent. This includes arranging meetings, managing and deconflicting calendars, collecting and assembling daybooks, serving as the point of contact for scheduling questions and requests, attending office calendar synchronization meetings, drafting and disseminating Principal Absence memos, and developing SOPs and maintaining continuity books.
  • Travel coordination for Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and above, or their equivalent. This includes coordinating transportation for meetings in the NCR, preparing travel authorizations and vouchers with the Defense Travel System (DTS), assisting with obtaining passports and visas for official travel, facilitating compliance with the Foreign Clearance Guide, preparing Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) requests, and preparing visit requests (Principals only).
