About The Position

The Senior Event Services Technician is responsible for assisting with the floor operations, including setup, strike and operation of intermediate to advanced technology solutions in a hotel or hospitality environment with a focus on delivering unmatched customer service to our guests and clients. This role involves ensuring all event sets and strikes are completed according to Company SOPs, operating intermediate technology solutions, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The Senior Event Services Technician will also act as a leader and mentor to other technicians and team members, greet guests and clients, provide clear instructions on equipment operation, and maintain continuous communication to ensure event success. They will follow through on client requests, identify opportunities to enhance events, maintain accurate client event information, and review daily invoices with clients. Additionally, the role requires compliance with all Company security and safety measures, awareness of property inventory, ensuring equipment security, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Continuous improvement of technical skills in audio, video/data, staging, computer operation, and networking is expected. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the audio visual and/or hospitality industry
  • Computer proficiency (hardware, software and networking)
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Good working knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Planning ability; able to plan prioritize

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all event sets and strikes are completed according to Company SOPs
  • Operate intermediate technology solutions and troubleshoot if issues arise.
  • Act as leader and mentor to other technicians and team members
  • Greet guests/clients before event and provide clear instructions on how to operate equipment.
  • Provide continued communication with client to ensure success of all events
  • Follows through on all client requests
  • Look for opportunities to enhance client’s event
  • Maintain accurate client event information within the Company’s business systems
  • Review daily invoices with client and obtain client’s signature on invoice(s)
  • Comply with all Company security and safety measures and is constantly aware of the property inventory and location of equipment and ensures inventory is secure from theft and /or damage
  • Ensure all inventory is in good working order and rental condition
  • Ensure any lost stolen or damaged equipment is immediately reported to management.
  • Ensure inventory is secure from theft and/or damage.
  • Make sure all Company occupied areas are clean, organized, and up to Company standards
  • Continually work toward enhancing and improving technical skills to include audio, video/data, staging and computer operation and networking.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
