AECOM is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior ETCS Engineer to join our Signals Canada team. This is a newly created role. The Senior ETCS Engineer will develop detailed designs, analysis, and implementation of ETCS Level 1 and Level 2, including onboard, wayside, central control components, with strong knowledge of LRT S&TCS systems, project environment, and client and operator needs. They will analyze project requirements at the ETCS subsystem level to provide complete and effective solutions, actively participate in the design phase of the ETCS engineering cycle, and prepare specific technical documentation ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations. The role involves creating and reviewing interface specifications between ETCS and other subsystems, supporting signaling design documents, and performing interface analysis and integration with other rail systems. The engineer will provide expertise in ATC systems, produce system design deliverables, generate design reports, and author test procedures and reports. They will also produce Issued for Construction drawing and document packages, work closely with senior engineers, clients, and stakeholders, and support the implementation phase of projects. Additionally, the role involves supporting procurement efforts, working with Systems vendors, interfacing with other technical disciplines, and supporting System Engineering and Assurance efforts as an S&TCS subject-matter expert. The engineer will assist in safety and reliability assessments, participate in system interface coordination, perform technical reviews, and stay up to date with industry advancements.
