About The Position

PCI is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for our PCI Denver 583 branch operations based in Aurora, CO. This individual will Bid/Sell/Secure work in the Drywall/Framing/ACT market and is responsible for the following duties: Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects. Establish labor productivities for estimate. Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing. Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group. Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages. Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team. Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations. Negotiate specific scope and ensure contract terms align with PCI proposal. Contract administration for secured projects. Utilize wage and benefit schedules. Hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team. Assist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s). Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration. Perform complete and accurate job hand-off’s to the Operations team. Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program. This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of estimating construction projects.
  • Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction: Drywall/Framing, ACT, Raised Access Flooring, HAC’s, Structural Grid Ceilings, etc.
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
  • Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
  • Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Local to the Denver metro area.
