We’re looking for a Senior Estimator who can bring both technical expertise and a strong customer-first mindset to support our sales team and drive accurate, timely project estimates. This role plays a critical part in bridging engineering, sales, and operations—ensuring we deliver competitive, accurate quotes while maintaining high service levels for our customers.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in Construction Management, Estimating, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of estimating or related experience (industrial, construction, or technical environment preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience reading blueprints and technical documentation (AutoCAD experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (Prelude and ACT! a plus, not required)
  • Comfort working with mathematical concepts such as ratios, percentages, and cost analysis

Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to develop accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates
  • Utilize ERP systems to create and maintain bills of materials, locate parts, and track quote activity
  • Partner closely with sales and customers to clarify scope and gather missing project details
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain pricing, lead times, and component information
  • Generate customer quotes using internal tools and calculators, with a target turnaround of 24 hours
  • Leverage historical data and cost records to improve estimate accuracy
  • Participate in design and pre-production reviews as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, tools, and data accuracy
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in all work while continuously looking for improvements
