Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree from a 4 year college or university
Experience in utility construction estimating
At least 5 years of substation estimating experience
Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

This position provides assistance and direction to other team members but has no management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project.
Aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received.
Work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.
Review bid requirements for projects that are approximately $500K or less, ensuring all aspects of the project are documented and accounted for.
