About The Position

OPEN JOB: Senior Estimator- Heavy Civil/Highway LOCATION: Phoenix, Arizona Relocation Assistance Available BASE SALARY - $100,000 to $130,000 Bonus Eligible IDEAL CANDIDATE: A Senior Heavy Civil Estimator who can own bids, influence strategy, and win meaningful work Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Experience with HCSS 5+ years of heavy civil / roadway estimating experience (aviation a strong plus) RESPONSIBILITIES: You’ll lead estimating efforts for major heavy civil infrastructure projects across Arizona, spanning scopes such as mass grading and earthwork, concrete structures, aggregate placement, asphalt paving, airport taxiways and aprons, PCCP, and other transportation infrastructure work. You’ll partner closely with the Chief Estimator, project managers, and executive leadership to develop smart, competitive bid strategies that balance accuracy, risk, and profitability — not just the lowest number on bid day. You lead bids, not just take direction Your experience is trusted and listened to at the leadership table You work on large-scale, technically complex heavy civil and aviation projects You’re backed by an operations team that executes what you sell You join a contractor with a strong backlog and long-term stability You’re surrounded by people who want to win — and know how to do it Your Impact Analyze plans, specs, and geotechnical reports with a risk-first mindset Perform site visits and pre-bid evaluations Define self-performed vs. subcontracted scopes Build and issue subcontractor and supplier bid packages Drive pricing strategy, including DBE/SBE participation when required Develop full estimates using HCSS HeavyBid (takeoffs, logic, assemblies) Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes; make award recommendations Lead bid reviews and challenge assumptions before bid day What We Expect Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management 5+ years of heavy civil / roadway estimating experience (aviation a strong plus) Proven success estimating grading, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and transportation scopes Advanced experience with estimating software, including: HCSS HeavyBid AGTEK, OST, P6, Excel (or similar) Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to leadership Competitive mindset with a “win the work” mentality Professional, direct, and collaborative — no egos, no excuses If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, please respond back and include the following: MS WORD Resume required compensation. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
5+ years of heavy civil / roadway estimating experience (aviation a strong plus)
Proven success estimating grading, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and transportation scopes
Advanced experience with estimating software, including: HCSS HeavyBid AGTEK, OST, P6, Excel (or similar)
Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to leadership
