About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior ERP Applications Developer with deep expertise in PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) to support mission-critical ERP initiatives within a large, complex enterprise environment. This role will focus on the design, development, enhancement, integration, reporting, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise financial and supply chain applications. The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering technical solutions that support business operations, improve system efficiency, and ensure the stability and scalability of the organization's ERP ecosystem. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, database administrators, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of enterprise application development experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on PeopleSoft FSCM development experience.
  • Strong technical expertise with PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Process Scheduler, and Process Monitor.
  • Experience developing REST/SOAP services and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong SQL development, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Experience creating and maintaining PeopleSoft reports and data extracts.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, deployment processes, and change management practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of PeopleSoft application development experience.
  • 5+ years of PeopleSoft FSCM development experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple FSCM modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Billing, Purchasing, Asset Management, Inventory, eProcurement, Commitment Control, Project Costing, Grants Management.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker and complex third-party system integrations.
  • Experience with PeopleTools upgrades, PUM updates, selective adoption, and retrofits.
  • Oracle database administration and advanced SQL tuning experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations or upgrade projects.
  • Previous experience in government, public sector, municipal, county, state, or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain complex PeopleSoft FSCM solutions.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical designs and development specifications.
  • Develop, customize, and support PeopleSoft applications using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Application Designer, Component Interfaces, Components and Pages, Records and Fields, Approval Workflow Engine (AWE), and File Layouts.
  • Develop scalable and reusable solutions that align with business objectives and development standards.
  • Review existing customizations and recommend enhancements that improve maintainability, efficiency, and system performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to established development standards and best practices.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, functional teams, and project leadership to define requirements, assess impacts, and recommend solution approaches.
  • Create technical design documentation, development specifications, and implementation plans for enhancements, integrations, reports, and system modifications.
  • Conduct impact analyses to identify dependencies across applications, integrations, security, reporting, and business processes.
  • Evaluate technical risks, performance considerations, and implementation challenges, providing recommendations to mitigate issues.
  • Estimate development effort, complexity, and timelines for projects and enhancement requests.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure solutions align with architecture standards, security requirements, and long-term maintainability objectives.
  • Support the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable ERP solutions that meet business needs and organizational standards.
  • Design and implement integrations between PeopleSoft FSCM and internal or external enterprise applications.
  • Develop and support inbound and outbound interfaces using PeopleSoft Integration Broker, REST and SOAP APIs, XML and JSON, Application Messaging, File-based integrations, SFTP and secure data transfer methods.
  • Create technical specifications, mapping documents, transformation logic, and error-handling procedures.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, data inconsistencies, connectivity issues, and message-processing errors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to support end-to-end integration testing and deployment.
  • Design, develop, and support enterprise reporting and data extraction solutions.
  • Create reports utilizing BI Publisher, PeopleSoft Query, nVision, SQR, and SQL-based reporting solutions.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and data extracts to support compliance, audits, operational reporting, reconciliations, and business decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance of reporting solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, batch processing, integrations, and reporting solutions.
  • Perform SQL analysis and database performance tuning to improve overall system efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production issues involving application functionality, integrations, workflows, and data processing.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Support critical production systems and participate in incident management activities.
  • Participate in PeopleSoft application upgrades, PeopleTools upgrades, retrofit activities, and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Support PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) updates, selective adoption projects, and deployment activities.
  • Analyze the impact of upgrades on customizations, reports, interfaces, and business processes.
  • Recommend opportunities to reduce customization and leverage delivered application functionality where appropriate.
  • Assist in testing, deployment validation, and post-implementation support activities.
  • Develop and execute unit tests for custom development and system enhancements.
  • Support integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Validate application changes, reports, batch processes, workflows, and integrations before release.
  • Resolve defects, document findings, and ensure successful implementation of corrective actions.

  • Develop migration plans, implementation documentation, validation checklists, and rollback procedures.
  • Coordinate deployments with technical, functional, database, and infrastructure teams.
  • Perform post-deployment validation, production support, and troubleshooting of environment-specific issues.
  • Maintain documentation of migrated objects, dependencies, configurations, and release history.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including technical design documents, integration specifications, data mappings, test plans and results, migration instructions, deployment procedures, rollback plans, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities for internal teams and stakeholders.
