About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time heavy equipment operator at the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility and the Cox Creek Sediment Technology and Reuse Facility. The projects are located in northern Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City, Maryland. Positions available include Senior Equipment Operator (SEO) and Lead Equipment Operator (LEO). This position may require evening and weekend work and temporary assignments to other MES-operated facilities.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard high school or GED
• Ability to pass a standard physical examination
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points
• Senior EO: three (3) years of heavy equipment operations experience
• LEO: five (5) years of heavy equipment operations experience
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

• Operating off-road dump trucks, dozers, excavators, other heavy equipment, and dewatering pumps.
