Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented engineer to lead the initiative of developing and delivering current and next generation equipment for their world-class delivery stations. This role involves driving end-to-end equipment development, collaborating with global vendors to enhance their design and manufacturing capabilities, and implementing internal and external equipment quality control mechanisms. The position requires a hands-on leader with experience in areas such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Manufacturing/Mechanical Plant Engineering, or First Article Inspection (FAIR). The engineer will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for last mile delivery systems. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies, including Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, and Operations. The engineer will manage large, complex initiatives and advocate for the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. The role operates within a team focused on medium and long-term innovation of process infrastructure, equipment, and standards for both new and existing delivery stations, offering challenges, learning opportunities, and high-impact projects in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
