About The Position

Individuals in this position plan, design, and manage day to day operations of projects for the organization. The Senior Environmental Professional ensures sustainability and resilience of infrastructure through large-scale testing, field studies, and numerical simulations. This position works between the natural elements and built environments and would address environmental issues such as waste disposal, soil improvements, site remediation, waste handling, and permitting and regulatory coordination.

Requirements

  • Accredited degrees in either: BS Environmental Engineering or BS Geotechnical Engineering, BS Geology
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the field or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) Licensure in Wisconsin or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required

Nice To Haves

  • Wisconsin and Illinois regulatory consulting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver Phase I ESAs
  • Prepare and deliver Phase II ESAs
  • Field investigations consisting of: Construction monitoring including instrumentation, Soil and groundwater sampling, Asbestos and Lead-based Paint Assessments, Remediation system monitoring and reporting
  • Report writing for Compliance Reporting
  • Project Management of medium to large sized environmental projects including field activities, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Conduct/direct measurements and sample collection including documentation of field tasks, data tabulation, and report preparation.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work including scheduling of field activities and procurement of bids
  • Make engineering calculations using standard formulas and computer software
  • Assist and/or lead with proposals and business development activities
  • Quality Control Review of Environmental Reports
  • Works with operations to coordinate field staff on projects as needed
  • Ability to promote environmental engineering/consulting services with local clients and agencies
