Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
About The Position

Duda & Sons, Inc., is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support our operations in Oxnard, California. This position reports directly to the Safety Manager. Founded in 1926 as a humble celery farm, DUDA has grown into a diversified, family-owned company with operations spanning agriculture, fresh produce, real estate development, and ranch management. Today, Duda Farm Fresh Foods is one of the world's leading producers and suppliers of celery, fresh-cut vegetables, and citrus products. Requirements
- 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or a related environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, environmental regulations, and safety best practices.
- Strong investigation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
- Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM, or similar) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation and maintenance of EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and recordkeeping requirements.
- Deliver safety training and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor safety metrics and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Support workers' compensation and return-to-work processes as needed.
- Assist with environmental compliance programs and reporting activities.
