About The Position

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Consultant with experience in the Healthcare industry, including hospitals, clinics, or other patient facilities. This role involves developing, implementing, leading, and managing Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs within a healthcare setting to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as standards set by accrediting bodies. The position requires a deep understanding of EHS principles, risk management, and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with hospital leadership. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of related experience.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years’ experience with hospital health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or ASP/CSP Eligible.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) are highly desirable.
  • Medical degree – nursing, emergency medical technician (EMT), physical therapist/occupational therapist is a plus.
  • Certified to train First Aid / CPR / AED courses is a plus.
  • Direct experience working in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits, develop strategic plans and EHS compliance programs.
  • Assist clients with Regulatory Inspections, including CMS Accreditation Activities (Joint Commission/DNV) Environment of Care, Emergency Management and Fire Life Safety.
  • Manage large projects and internal client relationships.
  • Supervise and/or mentor staff.
  • Develop Environmental Ligature and Safety Risk Assessment Programs.
  • Manage Hazardous Materials and Waste.
  • Oversee Construction Safety.
  • Conduct Injury Investigations/Root Cause Analysis.
  • Develop Policies/Procedures.
  • Perform Job Hazard Assessments.
  • Develop Training Strategies.
  • Lead DNV/Joint Commission Accreditation Requirements for the Physical Environment, Environment of Care and Emergency Management, and Fire Safety chapters.
  • Create effective programs to minimize work-related risks, illnesses, and injuries through engineering controls, administrative procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment.
