Senior Environmental Engineer - Wastewater Focused
About The Position
The Senior Environmental Engineer will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, overseeing the planning, evaluation, and design review of complex wastewater treatment and collection system projects. The role works closely with municipal and private-sector clients to understand project objectives, provide expert guidance, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions. The position leads multidisciplinary project teams, mentors junior engineers, coordinates work across internal and external stakeholders, reviews engineering designs and technical reports, manages project schedules and deliverables, and maintains clear, proactive client communication throughout project execution. Domestic and/or international travel may be required, with travel frequency depending on responsibilities, workload, and project demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Expert knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Expert knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software, such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
- An appropriate and valid driver's license.
