As a member of Sargent & Lundy’s Environmental and Permitting team, the Senior Environmental Consultant Manager reviews, evaluates, and implements federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements for electric power and industrial projects. The role supports the growth of the firm’s environmental services by leading business development, expanding client relationships, identifying opportunities, and developing target markets and strategic pursuits across power, grid, industrial, decarbonization, and government sectors. It also leads proposal development, including proposals, statements of qualifications, interviews, win themes, level of effort, and schedules. The position manages complex, multidisciplinary power-industry projects involving environmental planning, permitting, engineering coordination, scheduling, budgets, and client engagement. It serves as a primary liaison on environmental topics for clients, agencies, landowners, and community stakeholders; manages site-specific impact studies and permit applications; coordinates with project engineers to ensure environmental requirements are considered in project design; and oversees technical reports, including site selection studies, environmental and social impact assessments, compliance audits, and regulatory reviews. The role also mentors junior staff and promotes knowledge sharing, templates, and continuous improvement. The position follows a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work three days per week. Travel to client offices and project sites is expected, and some international travel may be required. Sargent & Lundy does not sponsor U.S. work authorization for this position.
