About The Position

Idaho Power is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Engineer to join their Environmental Compliance team in Boise, Idaho. This role provides programmatic leadership in environmental compliance, offering regulatory, strategic, and policy advice to support business objectives and foster a culture of compliance. The position involves reviewing, developing, and implementing the company's environmental compliance program, and supporting interactions with regulatory agencies. The engineer will plan and lead complex assignments and projects, interfacing with internal departments and external organizations. The role is based in Boise but offers flexible schedules with up to 40% remote work and requires substantial field work (60% or more).

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution OR Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a non-ABET accredited institution and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
6 years of related engineering experience OR 5 years of related engineering experience plus P.E. or advanced engineering degree, and 3 years in the area of expertise.
Demonstrated advanced level experience reviewing and interpreting requirements, including laws, rules, and regulations.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of Engineering principles.
Comprehensive, specific, and progressive knowledge related to discipline.
Knowledge of Utilities and their business environment.
Knowledge of Regulatory requirements related to CAA, CWA, and RCRA/DOT.
Strong interdisciplinary skills.
