Senior Enterprise Data Architect, NF5

U.S. Marine Corps•Quantico, VA

About The Position

The Senior Enterprise Data Architect provides technical leadership for designing, modernizing, and migrating enterprise data integration platforms supporting federal and public sector programs. The position supports the Senior Data Scientist and Business Intelligence Manager and establishes the enterprise data model, integration strategies, and data lineage across MCCS systems. It provides architectural coverage for enterprise financial, operational, and customer data systems and maintains current- and future-state architecture artifacts for compliance, continuity, and system onboarding. The role defines enterprise data integration architecture and designs, develops, and optimizes ETL and ELT pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and AWS Glue. It modernizes legacy ODI mappings, packages, workflows, and Cognos reports into cloud-native solutions, documents data lineage, and defines pipeline specifications, transformation logic, and data-quality rules. The architect also serves as the primary technical authority for contractor deliverables and major enterprise data contracts, assessing proposals, performance, integration designs, and technical scope with internal stakeholders. The position leads data migration planning and execution from on-premises and legacy environments to AWS, including legacy-to-enterprise-model mapping, cutover and rollback plans, and validation of data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and performance. It designs architectures aligned with federal security and regulatory frameworks, implements appropriate access controls, encryption, and logging, and provides architectural inputs and technical artifacts for Authority to Operate documentation. The role also provides courteous customer service, follows workplace safety and equal employment opportunity standards, and may work a fluctuating schedule outside typical workdays or hours and travel to complete assignments. Other duties may be assigned. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required.
