Our Newest Opportunity: Summary: The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) plays a critical role in shaping and advancing the organization's technology vision while working in close partnership with embedded Product Management teams aligned to each practice area. Reporting to the VP of IT Infrastructure, Operations & Enterprise Architecture, this role ensures that business-driven product initiatives—whether AI-enabled, platform-based, or vendor solutions—are delivered quickly without compromising enterprise standards, scalability, security, or architectural coherence. As a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, Embedded Product Managers, IT Product Managers, and IT leaders, the Senior Enterprise Architect accelerates outcomes while protecting enterprise architecture. This role establishes the architectural guardrails and decision frameworks that allow teams to move fast while avoiding fragmentation, technical debt, and parallel platforms—ensuring the organization can innovate rapidly while scaling responsibly.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience.
  • Practical experience with AI-enabled solutions, including generative AI.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, privacy, and security.
  • Experience evaluating build vs. buy vs. platform decisions.
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI principles.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in insurance, brokerage, or financial services strongly preferred.
  • 6–8+ years of experience across multiple disciplines including solution/technical architecture, application development, integration/middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations in a multi-tier environment.
  • Strong understanding of multi-platform hardware and software technologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and influence across the organization.
  • Ability to balance long-term ('big picture') and short-term technology perspectives in changing business situations.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture Strategy, Standards & Roadmaps Create and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and implementation plans aligned to business and product strategy.
  • Define and maintain architecture standards, frameworks, patterns, and technology policies that enable innovation while ensuring enterprise consistency.
  • Provide architectural guidance that supports rapid product experimentation and delivery within approved enterprise guardrails.
  • Embedded Product Partnership & Business Collaboration Work closely with embedded Product Managers aligned to the organization's practices.
  • Serve as a connector between business stakeholders, Embedded Product Managers, IT Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, and platform teams.
  • Translate business needs into architectural options, tradeoffs, and implications.
  • Accelerate Outcomes While Protecting Enterprise Architecture Guide AI vs. platform vs. packaged product decisions.
  • Lead build-versus-buy evaluations aligned to enterprise standards and roadmaps.
  • Assess platform and capability fit before net-new or AI solutions.
  • Governance & Delivery Alignment Own and manage the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Work with requestors to shape ARB submissions.
  • Embed architecture governance into product discovery and delivery.
