Agile Space Industries is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician to support our Manufacturing team in the assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and execution of propulsion hardware and manufacturing operations. This role is intended for an experienced technician who thrives in a fast paced, hands on aerospace environment and is comfortable working independently on complex hardware and manufacturing challenges. The Senior Engineering Technician will serve as a key contributor across manufacturing builds, prototype development, and production execution while partnering closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams. This individual will help drive manufacturing excellence through technical expertise, problem solving, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus 7+ years of hands on technical experience in aerospace, propulsion, manufacturing, defense, automotive, machining, or related industries
  • Strong experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing operations, and troubleshooting complex hardware
  • Ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, GD&T, and specifications
  • Experience using precision measurement tools, hand tools, and shop equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with limited oversight
  • Experience working in fast paced prototype or production environments with changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and workmanship standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in active manufacturing and test environments

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace or propulsion manufacturing experience
  • Experience with pressure systems, valves, tubing systems, or fluid handling hardware
  • Familiarity with leak testing, torque standards, and inspection processes
  • Experience supporting hot fire test hardware or ground support equipment
  • Electromechanical assembly, soldering, or wiring experience
  • Crane, hoist, or forklift experience
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments with configuration control and quality requirements
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior technicians

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, integrate, and support complex aerospace and propulsion hardware using engineering drawings, models, procedures, and work instructions
  • Support manufacturing operations including mechanical assembly, tubing installation, torque procedures, precision fitting, leak checks, inspections, and troubleshooting
  • Operate, maintain, and assist with setup of manufacturing and support equipment used in production and hardware processing
  • Identify and resolve hardware, tooling, fitment, and process related issues in collaboration with engineering and quality teams
  • Support prototype, development, qualification, and production hardware builds across multiple programs
  • Review drawings, travelers, and manufacturing documentation for accuracy and manufacturability feedback
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and support knowledge sharing across the manufacturing team
  • Help improve manufacturing workflows, tooling, organization, safety, and production efficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation, build records, and inspection data
  • Support material movement, hardware handling, and shop organization as needed
  • Work safely in manufacturing and test environments while adhering to all company safety standards and procedures
