About The Position

Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Technician with a strong background in special inspections and construction materials testing to support projects throughout Central Florida. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on threshold buildings inspection experience who are committed to quality, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
U.S. work authorization (Visa sponsorship is not available)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Physically able to lift 75 lbs. unaided (100 lbs. with assistance)
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience in special inspections and/or construction materials testing (CMT)
Experience performing inspections on threshold buildings (Florida experience strongly preferred)
Possess certification(s) such as: ACI Concrete Special Inspector ICC Masonry Special Inspector ICC Structural Steel Special Inspector

Responsibilities

Perform special inspections in accordance with Florida Building Code (FBC) requirements, including threshold building inspections
Inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes
Conduct field testing, sampling, and inspections (concrete, masonry, structural steel, etc.)
Prepare and maintain detailed daily field reports and inspection documentation
Coordinate with contractors, clients, and project managers to communicate findings and resolve issues
Assist with technical reporting and documentation for project deliverables
