The Senior Engineering Scientist will conduct research involving the characterization of uranium and support ongoing sponsored research activities within the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 years’ experience as lead engineer for sponsored research programs.
  • Experience with advanced rotating electrical machines and composites.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical execution and documentation of ongoing sponsored research.
  • Manage sponsored research projects and provide technical leadership to other research staff and students.
  • Maintain and develop research funding, prepare and submit proposals to expand the research funding base.
  • Publications and presentations.
