About The Position

Our team builds the foundational infrastructure powering all Apple and Developer Subscription products across the App Store, Apple TV, Apple News, and Apple Music. We enable thousands of developers and content partners to collaborate with Apple, get paid seamlessly, and navigate tax compliance across 175 countries worldwide — ensuring every payment reaches the right partner in the currency of their choice. Our team is searching for an exceptional Senior Engineering Program Manager who can ramp quickly and lead sophisticated technical and business projects with demanding timelines. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with taking ownership and accountability for their projects and feel a personal stake in the product shipped. They will thrive in uncertainty and strive to bring order to it. They will come with deep wisdom and judgement. In this role, you will get an opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of opportunities from long-term strategic projects for Apple to near-term business initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on high-impact new features and product launches for our services, including the App Store, Arcade, Apple Music, TV+, News+, Fitness+, iTunes Stores, Books, Podcasts and more.

Requirements

  • Strong Generative AI skills.
  • Proficiency in adopting project management and collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • Either 5+ years in program/project management or 5+ years in consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and assistants to accelerate development, improve decision-making, and enhance the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences — from working teams to executive leadership
  • Own and drive multiple large scale, sophisticated projects and make a difference in the projects you drive.
  • Naturally accountable and responsible, fostering trust and building authentic relationships.
  • Highly self-directed and motivated — able to operate with minimal guidance in ambiguous environments
  • Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings).
  • Strong technical proficiency, fierce attention to details, relentless at follow up and demanding of quality.

  • MS/MBA or equivalent work experience in Business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Science
  • Experience shipping software for Apple platforms
  • Comfort reading and writing structured data (JSON, SQL)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the current-year roadmap and play an active part in prioritizing projects and improvements that keep Business, Product, Engineering, and QA organizations aligned and moving in the same direction.
  • Deliver projects on time and within scope, taking ownership of critical aspects of each initiative — including scope definition, design, resource allocation, and technical dependencies — while acting as a bridge between engineering and product teams.
  • Develop AI tools to dramatically scale the impact of the role, enhancing planning, improving workflow efficiency, and surfacing insights that keep projects on track.
  • Own the integrated program plan across all workstreams, maintaining POR, key decisions, schedule, dependency maps, milestone tracking, risk registers, and escalation paths across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Navigate gate-based approval and readiness processes.
  • Drive alignment and accountability across teams without direct authority, influencing through clarity, trust, and consistent follow-through.
  • Serve as the primary communication hub — translating across engineering, design, legal, business, partner, and operations, and producing crisp program updates for working teams and leadership.
  • Manage competing priorities across stakeholders — making clear recommendations on where to invest program energy and when to push back when requests conflict with program goals.
  • Coordinate across product, engineering, design, and platform teams through full development cycles — from design reviews and sprints through QA, release, and post-launch operations.
  • Design and run program activities: planning sessions, cross-functional syncs, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Build and maintain program infrastructure from scratch where needed: shared trackers, frameworks, decision logs, and documentation.
  • Proactively identify program risks - ideally before they become risks, and raise them to program leadership.
  • Own critical program issues end-to-end, from identification to resolution - refusing to let problems sit in the areas between teams.
  • Drive team clarity in cross-functional meetings and executive reviews; this will require deeply understanding and representing the perspective of different functions.
  • Bring structure when the program is in flux - quickly standing up the right forums, assembling the right people, framing the problem clearly, to help teams evaluate options, make commitments, and drive to a decision even when the path forward is unclear or politically complex.
