About The Position

Camunda is hiring a Senior Engineering Operations Manager to own the Product Development Process (PDP) and its automation, and to build agentic processes on Camunda for the Products department. The role works across Engineering and Product Strategy, combining process design with hands-on implementation and operation of the automation. The Products department uses Camunda’s own product in its work so it can learn from that experience and share insights with product teams. This is a fully remote role.

Requirements

  • Ability and/or willingness to use Camunda’s product.
  • Product, design, and technical skills, with the ability to evaluate workflows for users and build them; a product-only background is insufficient.
  • Hands-on engineering experience, including writing code and scripts, working with GitHub, CI/CD, and APIs, and debugging integrations.
  • Experience designing and changing a product or engineering process in a software company with 100 or more engineers.
  • Practical AI agent experience building agents or agentic workflows that do real work.
  • Ability to influence Product, Engineering, and leadership to agree on a common way of working.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BPMN, Camunda, or other workflow engines.
  • Background in product operations, developer experience, or platform engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Own the PDP end to end for the Core and Experience tracks, including process design, stages, board hygiene, and defining and tracking epics.
  • Align the PDP with Product Strategy so strategy, initiatives, and epics connect and both divisions trust the process.
  • Fix and operate PDP automation built on Camunda 8, including source control, tests, a test environment, monitoring, and a shared foundation for both tracks.
  • Build agentic processes for Camunda Products’ own work, use Camunda’s product as customers do, and feed lessons learned back to product teams.

Benefits

  • Competitive, fair, and transparent location-based compensation.
  • Equity through a Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP), where applicable.
  • Work-from-anywhere arrangement, home office budget, co-working space support, and flexible time off.
  • Annual kickoff, team offsites, Camundi Connection Budgets, support for meetups while travelling, and local gatherings.
  • Locally tailored healthcare, Modern Health global mental wellbeing support, and the Live Well Lifestyle Spending Account.
  • Retirement and pension plans, often with company contributions, plus life and disability insurance where relevant.
  • Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning, including courses, certifications, and books.
