About The Position

The Kill Chains Analysis team in Sensors and Special Programs (S&SP) at The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager (Level L) to lead capability development and operational analysis for interoperability across multiple weapon systems. This role involves leading a core team of approximately 15 senior engineers and coordinating a broader portfolio that spans multiple programs, customers, and agile release trains. The position is 100% onsite in Berkeley, MO, and requires an active U.S. Top-Secret Security Clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Proven experience leading engineering programs and teams across all program phases (planning through execution): 1+ years of Management Experience
  • Demonstrated systems-of-systems knowledge, particularly with networked airborne mission systems and tactical networks.
  • Strong communicator and self-starter with experience briefing senior executives and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with SAFe agile methodologies and experience applying agile practices at program scale.
  • Experience using Earned Value Management (EVMS) and performing variance analysis.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top-Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

  • Program management experience including cost, schedule, and budget development and control.
  • Experience creating and maintaining team schedules and leading risk management activities.
  • Background in system integration, product investigations, and engineering troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary engineering team, to deliver cross-program design, prototyping, and operational analysis.
  • Support program execution across the portfolio: scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and earned value/variance analysis.
  • Drive interoperability strategy and technical commonality across platform implementations and suppliers.
  • Coordinate statement-of-work decomposition across multiple SAFe agile release trains and lead process and staffing improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry partners, stakeholders, program management, and senior leadership; prepare and deliver executive briefings.
  • Approve technical approaches, provide systems-of-systems oversight, and solve complex integration and troubleshooting challenges.
