About The Position

We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with deep roots in frontend engineering to join our engineering leadership team. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you'll own a cross-functional product engineering team, partner closely with Product and Design, and help shape how we build and scale our web platform. • Strong technical judgment: you can assess tradeoffs, push back when needed, and make pragmatic decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to translate technical complexity for non-engineers and align stakeholders across product, design, and business.
  • A genuine bias for action and ownership. You don’t wait for permission, you spot problems and solve them.
  • Experience building and shipping production applications with a high bar for performance, reliability, and user experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fintech, proptech, or a regulated/security-conscious industry.
  • Familiarity with backend systems (Node.js, APIs, databases), you don’t need to be a backend engineer, but context helps.
  • Prior experience scaling an engineering team from 5 to 15 engineers.
  • Experience and perspective on how to leverage AI tooling in regulated environments with sensitive data.
  • Track record of building design systems, component libraries, or platform-level frontend Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define technical direction, scope projects, and deliver high-quality features on fast-moving roadmap.
  • Have the ability to be hands-on; Be able to dive in and write code, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions alongside your team.
  • Drive engineering excellence and establish best practices in code quality, testing, performance, and accessibility for our web platform.
  • Own hiring for your team: identify gaps, engage with strong candidates from your network, and build a world-class engineering culture.
  • Communicate clearly with senior leadership on team progress, risks, and opportunities.
