About The Position

Senior Engineering Manager - Systems Stress Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Systems Stress (Level L) to support our 767/777/787 Programs team based in Everett, WA . Position Responsibilities: Leads BCA wide-body Systems Stress Engineering Team to meet requirements and commitment. Leads development of engineering solutions with Systems Design Engineering functions in support of current and future commercial airplane products. Partners with 787 Airframe and Systems teams to develop and execute plan to transfer 787 systems stress work statement to Charleston, SC. Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, priorities, policies and procedures. Guides development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first level managers. Leads Boeing Values and Behaviors by example and cultivate a culture of excellence. Ensures appropriate technical skills are available to meet commitments and skill development to mitigate future risk. Sustains functional excellence. Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and integration on complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Collaborates with BCA Systems Stress Technical Council. Communicates project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to Program leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
