About The Position
Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Preconstruction team in their Dallas, TX regional office. This is a full-time, in-person position. The role involves reading and understanding construction design documents and specifications, performing cost estimates and quantity surveys, managing cost and design issues, coordinating trades with exposure to BIM processes, and overseeing purchasing for projects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related construction/engineering field.
- 4-6 years of experience in construction management, preconstruction, or estimating.
- Outstanding communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand construction design documents and specifications.
- Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
- Manage cost and design issues throughout project phases.
- Coordinate and manage trades, with exposure to BIM processes.
- Oversee all purchasing required to support projects, including scope coordination, proposal evaluation, trade negotiations, and contracting.
