About The Position

The Senior Engineer (Project Management) manages small, minor, and major capital projects from concept through completion, including scope, cost, resources, and funding. The role maintains visibility into the design process, ensures adherence to established project components and deliverables, and directly manages execution, construction, and commissioning. It coordinates with clients and with groups inside and outside the organization. The position is based at Nestlé’s King William plant, a continuously operating cat litter manufacturing site with a connected clay mine.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of cost control experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, construction, military, or related projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing pre-project approval documents, including the project charter, project management plan, project kick start, estimates, and milestone schedules.
Monitor design progress and deliverables, and coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution.
Evaluate and select contractors and contracting methods through bidding and prequalification vetting processes, following the engineering ways of working methodology.
Direct installation, construction, commissioning, and plant startup activities to ensure successful project execution.
Manage project scope, change approvals, budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow projections, status reports, and milestone schedules in alignment with the project charter and engineering methodology.
Communicate across the organization to support project coordination and alignment.
