About The Position

The Senior Engineer is responsible for leading and executing engineering projects, contributing to product design, development, and improvement initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, advanced technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The Senior Engineer will guide a team of engineers, support the VP of Engineering in strategic planning, and ensure that all projects meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
5+ years of experience in engineering roles, with a proven track record of leading and executing complex engineering projects.
Strong proficiency in engineering software tools (such as CAD, CAM, simulation software, etc.).
Deep knowledge of engineering principles, materials, processes, and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with various stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

A Master’s degree or professional certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that all design, development, and testing phases are completed to specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain) to support the development and optimization of products and processes.
Design, develop, and test new products or modifications to existing products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.
Analyze data and troubleshooting results to develop solutions to complex engineering problems.
Ensure that all engineering work is done in compliance with regulatory and safety standards, keeping projects on track for timely completion.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including project reports, design specifications, and product manuals.
Collaborate with the VP of Engineering on strategic planning, ensuring engineering efforts align with overall business objectives and goals.
Lead technical evaluations, product testing, and ensure adherence to quality control processes.
Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and process optimization projects.
Prepare and present regular progress reports to the VP of Engineering, highlighting project milestones, challenges, and solutions.
Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product performance and operational efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering department and organizational objectives.
