Requirements

  • Ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Experienced technical professional with a background in information systems, systems engineering, business systems, data analytics, application development, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience translating business and operational requirements into practical technical solutions, with particular strength in information management, workflow improvement, dashboards, reporting, and user-facing tools.
  • Comfortable working directly with government program personnel, technical teams, and senior stakeholders to identify requirements and implement improvements.
  • Combines strong technical capabilities with business-process analysis, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Professional experience designing, developing, configuring, or supporting information systems, business applications, workflow solutions, or data-driven tools.
  • Experience translating business and operational requirements into technical requirements, system enhancements, or process improvements.
  • Experience developing or maintaining dashboards, reporting tools, databases, repositories, portals, or other information-management solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, visualization, reporting, and information-management practices.
  • Experience documenting technical requirements, workflows, processes, system configurations, or user procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust suitability.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting DHS, CISA, or another federal agency in an information technology or mission-support environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI, or comparable enterprise collaboration, workflow, reporting, and visualization platforms.
  • Experience developing or supporting workflow automation, low-code/no-code solutions, portals, dashboards, or business-process management tools.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, business-process mapping, workflow analysis, and process automation.
  • Experience designing data visualizations, metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting products.
  • Familiarity with federal records management, information governance, accessibility, security, or data-management requirements.
  • Experience integrating or improving systems and processes involving multiple organizational stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting travel management, international affairs, stakeholder management, or other complex federal administrative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain technical solutions supporting CISA International's program management and international travel processes.
  • Develop and maintain repositories for tracking international arrangements, agreements, travel information, and related program records.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, webpages, and internal platforms providing frequently referenced international activity and travel information.
  • Work with CISA International and OCIO stakeholders to identify technical requirements and support the evolution of information-management solutions for international travel.
  • Analyze existing workflows, systems, and information-management processes and recommend opportunities for automation, integration, and process improvement.
  • Develop data visualizations, metrics, reports, and analytical tools to provide leadership insight into international travel and program activities.
  • Support configuration and enhancement of user-facing travel portals, tools, and other digital resources.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system/process documentation, SOPs, user guidance, and related knowledge-management materials.
  • Coordinate with CISA OCIO, External Affairs, program personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure technical and policy compatibility across engagement processes and tools.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting, user support, and recommendations to improve system usability, data quality, records management, and operational efficiency.
