About The Position

Engineering Analytics, Inc., now part of MacKay, is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer to join its Water Resources team. This role will lead critical water infrastructure projects and contribute to expanding the company's presence in the Pacific Northwest. The team specializes in dam design and rehabilitation, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for dam and river projects, flood mapping, and spillway design. Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university with coursework in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, open channel flow, soil mechanics, structural analysis, reinforced concrete and steel design.
  • 15 years’ relevant experience in a similar role and building a book of business; relationships with local agencies are a plus.
  • Registered P.E. in Washington/Oregon.
  • An extensive understanding of engineering principles, water infrastructure systems, and regulatory frameworks at the state, federal, and local levels.
  • Advanced expertise in project management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing complex, multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving, high-level communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic leadership, develop talent, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving regulations and priorities, drive innovation, and make sound decisions under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience leading a team.
  • MS in Geotechnical engineering, hydrologic or hydraulic engineering sub-specialty.
  • FERC part 12 review, PFMA analysis, and facilitation experience or equivalent risk analysis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering review and analysis, including reviewing project scope, technical reports, and performing independent design analyses and reviews of construction documents. This may involve hydrologic, hydraulic, structural, and geotechnical analyses to assess dam conditions or proposed modifications.
  • Conduct inspections of water resource structures to ensure safe operation and maintenance, protecting life, property, and the environment.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and contracts.
  • Supervise and mentor project engineers and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with local governments, water users, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with water management and safety regulations.
