About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is involved in the delivery of diverse municipal and industrial water infrastructure projects across British Columbia and is seeking a Senior Engineer - Water Infrastructure to join our growing team. In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects, proposal preparation and business development, working with multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality engineering solutions that strengthen critical water infrastructure for communities across the province. Location – Vancouver, BC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or related.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or eligible for registration in British Columbia.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water systems such as treatment facilities, pump stations, transmission mains, and storage reservoirs.
  • Advanced technical expertise in water and wastewater treatment and pumping systems, including process design, hydraulic systems, and treatment technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal engineering design standards, regulatory frameworks, and permitting requirements in British Columbia, with familiarity with other Canadian jurisdictions considered an asset.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree in Water Resources, Water Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead water and wastewater process design team in preliminary and detailed engineering design packages including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Work on Pumping station, tanks or reservoirs for process design.
  • Work with multidisciplinary design teams in the preparation of engineering design packages.
  • Project management to ensure quality of project deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Participate in water and wastewater proposal preparation and business development activities.
  • Leading, guiding, and mentoring a team of intermediate and junior staff.
