About The Position

You’ll design and develop secure, scalable platforms that enable tokenization, wallet-driven workflows, smart contract functionality, and seamless integration with core enterprise systems—offering the opportunity to work on high-impact engineering at the leading edge of financial innovation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and building tokenized deposits, bonds, repos, stablecoins, and related digital asset systems in a regulated financial institution
  • Practical expertise across L1s/L2s, smart contracts, cryptographic services, and interoperability frameworks
  • Good understanding of token standards, and on-chain settlement concepts, and apply this knowledge to enterprise Digital Asset design in a regulated environment
  • Comfortable owning technical solutions end-to-end, from design and development through testing, deployment, and continuous improvement
  • Apply DevSecOps discipline, including CI/CD, secrets management, cloud security, and automated testing
  • Confident using AI-enabled engineering and productivity tooling to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, enhance decision-making and mitigate technology and operational risk

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of payments systems, instant payments, cross-border flows, and digital asset-enabled settlement
  • Understanding of capital markets workflows, including issuance, trading, DvP/PvP, lifecycle events, and corporate actions
  • Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes/containers, API gateways, Kafka, and enterprise messaging
  • Considerable grounding in distributed systems patterns, secure engineering, and modern software design principles
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, architecture, product, risk, compliance, and operations teams

Responsibilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
  • Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
  • Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
  • Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
  • If managing a team, they define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes.
  • Lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
