The mandate of the Rail Construction Program is to transform, develop, grow and sustain Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit Systems as a component of the City of Ottawa’s overall transportation and mobility strategy. The Trains and Systems Unit manages the transition of trains and systems projects to full operation, including design, construction, integration, testing and commissioning of light rail projects; delivery of the Transit Operations Control Centre head end upgrade for all rail systems; and delivery of City-led technology projects such as emergency radio repeater systems. You are responsible for providing a primary point of contact for the Testing and Commissioning program for Stage 2 and act as subject matter expertise for Light Rail projects related to City's Rail Construction Program. As a Senior Engineer in the Testing and Commissioning Unit, you will play a crucial role in the oversight of coordinating and reviewing test procedures and reports, witness tests, verifying and validating project requirements, deficiency tracking and ensuring the overall successful execution of testing and commissioning activities.
