About The Position

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Utilities (PE) to join our growing Utilities Team in either Seattle or Everett, WA. This position will support the planning, design, and delivery of utility infrastructure projects for public sector clients including cities, counties, municipalities, and WSDOT. The ideal candidate will have strong design experience in water system, sanitary sewer system, or stormwater systems. They will provide technical guidance for complex or unique assignments. They will independently complete tasks or assigned parts of a project with minimal supervision. The incumbent must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices and independently making decisions on significant design engineering problems or methods. The ability to manage smaller projects, or be the lead engineer for major projects is desired. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State required
  • Minimum 5+ years of utilities engineering experience
  • Experience with water, sanitary sewer, or stormwater systems for cities, counties, municipalities, or WSDOT- public agency clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interface with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies is critical.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent technical writing skills for use in development of engineering reports and studies.
  • Experience with StormShed 3G, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, OpenFlows Storm, Autodesk Civil 3D, PCSWMM, and/or EPANET.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to anticipate and initial subsequent project tasks, working independently or with minimal instruction.
  • Able to work efficiently within a predetermined project budget and schedule
  • Ability to function efficiently within a project team environment.
