About The Position

Engineering & Technology Innovations is seeking a Senior Engineer – Teardown and Analysis to join our Lab Team in St. Louis, MO. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Senior Level Teardown and Analysis (4,5). This person will be involved with the high-impactful technical work in our St. Louis lab environment. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering professional who can lead complex teardown, analysis, and cost modeling efforts while partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to influence solutions across the enterprise. This challenging position requires strong technical judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to guide collaborative execution in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, helping shape work direction, mentoring others, and ensuring alignment between engineering execution and broader business objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • 5 years of experience leading a team
  • Work flexibility to support international team member
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: structures, systems, interiors, manufacturing
  • Familiarity with optimal cost and how it enables programs to meet their affordability goals
  • Ability to plan, lead and oversee multiple projects and meet associated deliverable deadlines within assigned budget
  • 5+ years of work experience as a Teardown Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate physical and virtual part teardown, analysis, and cost modeling activities across assigned programs and initiatives
  • Develop and execute collaborative plans for teardown campaigns and related projects with leaders, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Participate in the Global Organization technical forum, acting as representative for BDS-aligned projects and St. Louis lab operations
  • Partner with Lab and Organization Management to help set and execute strategic vision
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to peers and junior engineers, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
  • Lead analytical efforts to optimize systems, system architecture, and associated design trade spaces
  • Influence decision-making by presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support process improvement and standardization efforts to improve overall lab efficiency, consistency, and team performance
