About The Position

This role involves engaging in all phases of the program life cycle, including bidding, planning, and execution. The engineer will estimate, track, own, and report on project technical, cost, and schedule aspects. Additionally, they will mentor and coach other team members in project execution and perform all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements capture, system design and modeling, integration with hardware and software components, and system validation and verification. Collaboration with external customers is key for documenting operational scenarios, developing system requirements, defining system interfaces, and performing system validation testing. Internal collaboration with other engineers is also crucial for documenting derived requirements, defining internal system interfaces, developing system architectures, integrating system components, and performing system verification. The role also includes identifying and recommending process, system, and product improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related role in the Aerospace Industry.
  • OR at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related role in the Aerospace Industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience with: Avionics system/software development, including familiarity with business or regional aircraft architectures.
  • At least 3 years of experience with: Aircraft/Avionics standards (DO-178B/C, ARP 4754, and/or DO-297).
  • At least 3 years of experience with: Systems/Software engineering processes and tools such as: DOORS, PREP, JIRA, JAMA, Subversion, GitLab, and Agile Scrum.
  • At least 3 years of experience with: project management, including cost account management, developing and managing schedules for complex projects, and bidding technical scope/cost.
  • At least 2 years of experience with: requirements, test, validation, verification, and integration activities for an architecturally complex system/subsystem.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities
